Kanebo is known for their very effective skincare products that are popular among many Japanese people. Recently, I’ve been seeing many people using this “Suisai Beauty Clear Powder.” I’ve never put my hands on it even though I know that it’s one of the best rated exfoliants in Japan. How good is this product? Read more to find out about it!

If you’ve read my other articles, you may know that I have very sensitive and dry skin. Because of my skin condition, it makes me very nervous when it comes to trying out a new exfoliant. However, when I found out that this Suisai Beauty Clear Powder is not a physical exfoliant, it made me more excited about using it. Another thing that I look forward to is how it deals with my skin problems, since this product can help treat acne, pimples and redness.

The Kanebo Suisai Beauty Beauty Clear Powder is an enzyme powder wash that turns into dense foaming wash after encountering with water, it excellently removes excess oil, sebum, dirt, dead skin cells and other impurities. It also contains various moisturizing and brightening properties to keep your skin extra soft and smooth after each wash. It consists of essential ingredients such as two types of enzymes for more transparent skin, as well as amino-acids for moisturizing skin.

My Initial Impression

I am personally not familiar at all when it comes to powder-type exfoliant, and it is very interesting to me that it is also a face wash as well. 

Looking at the package, I thought it was very odd how they label it in English, “Beauty Clear Powder” because it’s honestly very difficult to understand what it does or what results may come out of it. However, in Japanese, there are many things that are written that reveal what the product does: a facial wash that removes blackhead and impurities, also exfoliates old skin to achieve a more moisturizing and transparent skin. 

The design of the package is very nice, the design is not overwhelming at all. I love how the packaging makes it easier for me to open and close the product and I love how the facial powder comes in individual packaging which makes it easier for me to determine how much product I should be using, but also because I could take this on the go. 

Using the Product

I came across the instructions that were written on the packaging about how to use the product. It says to add a few drops of water to the powder and lather it onto your face until it turns into foaming consistency, then wash away with lukewarm water. I was very surprised how milky and foamy this face wash exfoliator became and felt. I recommend lathering it because the more you lather it, the more foamy it gets! I also want to mention that I love how it felt on my skin—it definitely felt very fresh but also moisturizing. 

It is recommended to use 1-2 times a week, and it's important to keep this in mind because although it is a face wash, it’s still an exfoliant. However, I would like to mention that my skin has not shown a sign of dryness at all using this product 1-2 times a week. 

The Effectiveness of the Product

My skin is much smoother than it was in the beginning, and after a few days of using it, I’ve noticed that my skin has drastically changed in a positive way. My skin looks so much more toned—less redness and visible pimples. Just like in the name, it truly helps clear my skin.  

Also, because this product not only is an exfoliant but also provides moisturization, I found that this product really benefits me in making my skin softer. I might say that it’s so much easier to apply my other skincare products because this product helps prep my skin so much.

Final Thoughts

I think this product is very necessary for everyday life especially if you’re the kind of person who struggles with finding an exfoliator that is not too harsh—something that is perfect for sensitive skin. I also thought that this is perfect for those who travel a lot because they can keep an exfoliant conveniently. 

I would definitely recommend this for all people that are struggling with their skin texture and impurities, but also for those who are just looking to improve their skin!
