Pokémon center is the official Pokémon’s shop offering variety of Pokémon-related merchandises and services. It is inspired by the Pokémon video game, as the company wanted to create an environment that represents the Pokémon world. These locations are also used to host special events such as Pokémon game competitions or product launch. Most Pokemon centers are decorated with flashy lightings and vibrant walls, you will even be welcomed by life sized Pokémon characters at the entryway!

 

 

 

What is there to do? 

Well, there are many activities for you to explore at the Pokémon Center. Firstly, there are plenty of things to browse and purchase, from coffee mugs to stationaries, it is a great place to stop by if you are looking to buy gifts for your loved ones. At some locations, there is a dedicated gaming area where you can play the digital game or card game! There are even cafes located inside the center, you can enjoy ordering adorable food and drinks that are inspired by the Pokémon characters. A perfect instagramable opportunity!

 

 

 

1. Pokémon Center Tokyo DX & Pokémon Café

This location was first opened in March 2018, it is considered as one of the largest Pokémon centers in japan. Located on the 5th floor of Nihonbashi Takashimaya Shopping Center in Tokyo. In front of the store, you can spot the giant Snorlax figurine with Pikachu and Mew on his shoulders. A photo-worthy spot where you can take pictures next to the giant Snorlax statue and show your friends!

          At this location, you can find various Pokémon toys on display inside the store and there are also limited-edition products that are only available at this location. The highlight of this store is the adorable Pokémon café located next to the center, a Pokémon-themed café with various food and drinks inspired by the characters.

 

 

 

2. Pokémon Center Shibuya

This is a fairly new location that was first opened in 2019 in Shibuya. It is the first official shop managed by Nintendo, offering video games, gaming experience, and special events. The store itself has a futuristic design, featuring some truly visionary decorations in its entryway, displaying a life size Mewtwo floating in a tank in front of the store.  

Once you enter the store, you will be welcomed by the endless amount of Pokémon characters on display, you can find plush stuffed animals, figures, collectible card packs, hats, bags, cushions, plates, jewellery—basically anything you could ever thing of!

 

 

 

3. Pokémon Center Mega Tokyo & Pikachu Sweets by Pokémon Café

Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo is located on the 2nd floor of Sunshine City Alpa in Ikebukuro, there is also a sweet shop called “Pikachu Sweets” inside. You can expect to find a huge range of merchandise from large and small plush toys, keychains, poke balls, and even limited-edition exclusive merchs that you won’t be able to get elsewhere. 

          There are also Pokémon game booths near the entrance of the store, as well as a specially designated area where you can play Pokémon card games. Pikachu Sweets by Pokemon Cafe are now available at Pokemon Center Mega Tokyo, don’t miss your chance of ordering adorable Pokémon-inspired drinks and desserts.

 

 

 

4. Pokémon Center Sky Tree Town

Pokémon Center Sky Tree Town is located in Solamachi, which is a shopping complex in Japan Tokyo Skytree. Rayquaza is an iconic character that is used as the store logo, at the entrance, you can see a life sized Rayquaza floating from the ceiling. At this location, there are over 2500 kinds of Pokémon products including exclusive items that can only be found here. They carry a range of products perfect for souvenirs for your friends and family who adore Pokémon!

          Pokemon Center Sky Tree Town is definitely worth stopping by even if you are not a fan of the animation, the overall atmosphere of the store will put you in a happy and cheerful mood!

 

 

 

5. Pokémon Store Tokyo Station

This store is located inside Tokyo Station, in a small corner store, you’ll find cute plushies, games, giftable food, and many more. At this location, you’ll find Pikachu in an adorable train conductor hat, perfectly suitable for Tokyo Station! This store receives a lot of attention from daily passengers as well as tourists due to its location, it is often crowdy especially during the weekends.
